Alpha International Montessori School (AIMS) was established in 2009 and named after my eldest daughter, Alpha, who greatly enjoyed and benefitted from a Montessori education when she was young. It was her experience that sparked my interest in Montessori.
In the last few years I have been studying the Montessori Method, and my interest has only grown. Opening a Montessori school and increasing access to this form of education in Laos is a dream come true for me.
AIMS is run by a Managing Board which consists of Nalinthone Phonyaphanh and Gerard Glendinning. We use an international curriculum taught in English.
All teachers are dedicated to giving the children a ‘learn to do it by myself’ environment.
AIMS children flourish in our well-equipped environment and in quiet locations. Committed to providing an authentic Montessori education, AIMS allows children to fulfill their natural love of learning while developing their individuality within a respectful, caring community.
